Accommodation was nice and as expected. There were building works at an adjacent hotel that caused disruption but was notified ahead of travel and given the option to change my booking

We changed room for a suite. While happy with room and service, the building behind our bedroom caused a lot of noise during the night, moving rubbish bins and empty bottles etc. The only downside.

The hotel is a hidden gem, beautiful retreat like feel in the centre of a busy town- really idyllic

Only a week before our departure, we were informed that there was ongoing building work next door and that we should expect some noise. This notice came far too late to give us a realistic opportunity to consider alternative accommodation. As the construction had been ongoing for months, we believe we should have been informed much earlier, ideally before or at the time of booking. For the week leading up to our arrival, we were quite anxious about what to expect. Fortunately, although there was some construction noise, and at times it was very loud, it did not end up causing us significant inconvenience. Nevertheless, the late notification created unnecessary concern and could have been avoided with more timely communication.

A real oasis in the city with easy access to amenities in the area
