The family run hotel, the staff were fantastic. Friendly and always up for a laugh. The rooms were big and comfortable. Great selection of food and beverages

Great facilities, good location, excellent staff

Overall, we had a lovely holiday because Kos is such a beautiful island with so much to see and do. There were plenty of well-advertised excursions available, making it easy to explore, and we found ourselves looking forward to getting out and discovering the island each day. The hotel itself had some positives, particularly the lovely swimming pools, but there were also several areas that could be improved. Due to flight delays, we arrived after dinner service had finished. We appreciated that the hotel had left us ham and cheese sandwiches in our room fridge, although it would have been nice if there had been an alternative for guests who don’t eat pork or dairy. The staff were always friendly and helpful whenever we asked for assistance, but we felt guests were expected to figure a lot out for themselves. The evening entertainment was well advertised, but many other facilities weren’t. For example, it wasn’t until our fourth day that we realised there were toilets by the pool, meaning we’d been walking back to our room every time. A welcome guide or better signage around the hotel would make a big difference. The all-inclusive food was probably the weakest part of our stay. Meal times were fairly short, and the selection became repetitive quite quickly. There often wasn’t much variety, with pork featuring heavily throughout the week, and some of the combinations of food felt a little random. On several occasions we chose to eat lunch or dinner elsewhere because there wasn’t enough we wanted to eat in the restaurant, which was disappointing considering we’d paid for all-inclusive. The drinks experience also felt a little restrictive. Guests could only order two drinks per person at a time, meaning frequent trips back to the bar. Cocktails were made with single shots and were quite weak, and most drinks were served in plastic cups, which made the experience feel less premium than we had expected. Our room was spacious but the layout didn’t make the best use of the space. The bed was positioned right next to the patio doors, while there was a large unused area behind the bathroom containing only the wardrobe and dressing table (though this may be due to the location of the air conditioning unit). There was also no sofa or seating area indoors, so if we wanted a break from sitting outside, the only option was to sit on the bed. Unfortunately, the bed itself was very lumpy and uncomfortable, and we were only given one pillow each with no spares available, so getting a good night’s sleep was difficult. The walls were also very thin, so noise from neighbouring rooms travelled easily. The bathroom was another disappointment. The shower was covered in so much limescale that we chose not to use it, instead rinsing ourselves each evening with the handheld bidet spray, which was noticeably cleaner. One evening we also returned from a day out to find a cockroach in our room. We dealt with it ourselves at the time, although in hindsight we should have reported it immediately. One policy we found unnecessarily stressful was the towel system, which felt overly strict and left us worrying about being charged if anything went wrong. Overall, we did have a lovely holiday, largely thanks to the beautiful island of Kos and the excellent trips available. The hotel has some great features, particularly the pools and friendly staff, but we feel there are several areas that would benefit from improvement. With better food, clearer communication, more comfortable rooms and a little more attention to maintenance, this could be a much stronger all-inclusive experience.
