Tipp

Run down room with a door that wouldnt lock and had to be fixed. View of air-conditioning on buildings. Leaking shower. Tiny extra bed that my 10 year old feet hung off of. Generally run down room.

On arriving to the hotel it was very busy, one lady left to deal with us all. Got put in wrong room and had to wait 2 days to move saying the hotel was full. Booked a sea view room and couldn’t even see the sea. Next room was better but I don’t feel like it was cleaned to a high (4*) standard daily. The food was very repetitive, only thing for children was pizza, chips and spag Bol. Food was often cold, our 2nd to last night there was hardly any choice due to it apparently being end of season soon which is unacceptable. Entertainment wasn’t great, kids disco was same every night, never changed it up. Pool areas got so wet on the floor and it wouldnt be swept away by staff. Lifeguard would disappear for 30 mins at a time and leave the seat unattended - accident waiting to happen.

An amazing honeymoon and time together Our stay at Grecotel Casa Paradiso for our honeymoon (with our 3-year old daughter) has been nothing short of exceptional. We stayed for 10 nights in the second half of October - knowing there was a risk with weather. Apart from one day with a thunderstorm, it was 23°+ every day and sunny. We spent most of our time at the pools or beach and thoroughly enjoyed it. The pools weren’t heated, but were easy to get accustomed to, my daughter enjoyed jumping in and out. Each pool had its own bar, and one a food station. Both bars and the food station were well manned and never too much of a queue. This hotel has had one of the best bar setups in European all-inclusive hotels I have visited - real branded spirits, cocktails made from scratch, a wide range of most popular cocktails, and their own specials. The bar men remembered our favourite drinks and how we liked them after a few days. We sat at the same table for dinner each night - it was never too busy. We found the range of food for dinner to be good. Some things were better than others, but this is understandable in an all-inclusive where they are catering for so many needs. Our fussy 3 year-old never struggled to eat. Lunch felt a little more repetitive, but still no complaints. Breakfast was good. All waiters friendly and a good presence around the restaurant, always quick to clear tables or take plates (but never a bother!) We didn’t watch much entertainment. The mini disco by the TUI team was good and our daughter loved it. She was usually too tired after this so we retired for the night before anything else. We did manage to watch the Mamma Mia show, which we enjoyed. We sometimes heard the other shows from our balcony while playing games, and enjoyed the music. No music could be heard from inside when the balcony doors were shut. Our bedroom was great. Beautiful room, cleaned daily, great layout, and a huge balcony with 270° views. Towels change daily. We could not fault our room at all. We did request through TUI “quiet room, low floor, honeymoon”. It was not a low floor which we found a pain on arrival with a pram and suitcases. We quickly got over this when realising our privacy and view of the ocean and gardens. This was so much nicer for the evenings spent out there. The hotel surprised us for our honeymoon with a cake, bubbles, and a decorated bed. This was a lovely touch. At the start of the holiday, I requested a bed guard, potty seat and step. These were delivered to our room the same day. We did a boat trip (glass bottom) in Kefalos - not linked to hotel, but want to mention as a recommendation as it was wonderful. We also went to Kos Town twice on the bus. This was really easy, with the bus pulling up right outside the hotel and the times being posted up. It’s a 30 minute drive and €2.50pp (3yo was free). We also walked to Marmari one day to buy cheaper pool floats. This was a flat, accessible 20-minute walk. The hotel has a shop, although it is expensive (€25-30 for suncream!). The staff in there are lovely though. Photographer is great, €10 a photo seems fair and not pushy at all. There is a small park for kids onsite with swings, slide and seesaws. There is also a giant sandpit and toys. We had a wonderful time. We would love to return one day, or experience more of the Grecotel brand. Thank you to all staff for your accommodation.

The room could do with a deep clean there was a build up of dirt around the shower I'm not a picky person so I just cleaned it myself the staff were excellent the balcony wasn't great and a bit claustrophobic room 237 however the resort more than made up for the downfalls with the food drink and activities
