    The rooms were large and kept very clean, however it may be time to change the baths.

    This was anll of our family’s 14th visit to this hotel. We obviously returned due to outstanding previous experiences however this time the shine had gone! Rooms were promised together by hotel as were were travelling to celebrate my parents 60th wedding anniversary.Rooms were allocated apart, no turn down service, no fruit in rooms as guaranteed on repeaters package. Main restaurant so full we had to set own table with cutlery etc, al a carte restaurant service and food was terrible - forgot starters and main meal was inedible (steak was like a shoe sole) staff overworked and in helpful. Waiter service in bars was non existent in evenings, managers cocktail evening was a joke - managers attended, a select few spoke to guests and the rest chatted between themselves for half an hour then left!! They advertise rewarding returning guests but this did not happen, I emailed the hotel prior to arrival as my parents were celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary which is why we travelled as a family - I arranged flowers for the room (at my expense) but they had no cake or completely room service breakfast as advertised. Nobody was interested in helping make it special except the reps who organised for the paid restaurant to be decorated. The hotel promises the world but it felt very false and fake this time. They kept saying the hotel was full to capacity - this should NOT affect the service it was total chaos and certainly not an enjoyable experience we hoped for.
