    “Entspannung pur”

    ...dem Titel entsprechend bleibt vom Zimmer-,bis zum kulinarischen Service, vom Pool,Sauna,Dampfbad,Meeres Blick und Cocktail -Angebot, bis zum Organisieren der wunderschönen Wanderungen auf der Insel Madeira in diesem Hotel,kein Wunsch offen

    “Geweldige vakantie gehad! Transfer terug was wel erg vroeg!”

    Geweldige vakantie gehad, alles was goed geregeld, leuke activiteiten en lief personeel. De transfer terug was wel bijzonder meerdere mensen klaagden want we waren maar liefst 3,5 uur van te voren aanwezig op een klein vliegveld waardoor wij heel lang moesten wachten met vliegen. Verder top!

    Re: Booking Reference ********** On 28 May 2026 we received an email from TUI informing us about some construction work taking place at the TUI BLUE Madeira Gardens. The email stated that there were 'external building works underway near / towards the back of the hotel' and that this was a 'private project'. The construction was directly next to the hotel and was a complete construction site building a whole new hotel block and this was not a private project it is a major extension to the hotel. The email stated there would be 'light noise ' which is not correct. There was constant loud noise, mostly drilling and banging as you would expect from a major construction site. The work started at 8am to 7pm Monday to Friday, Saturday 8am to 2pm and Sunday being the only quiet day. The email also said the hotel was carrying out some 'internal renovations ' again with light noise and that it would be screened off. These were not just internal renovations it was the complete gutting front to back of the hotel all floors on the right side and it was not screened off. When we arrived and realised the full extent of the construction work we asked if we could move hotel, but, the rep informed us that any hotel move would likely mean we incur a significant extra cost (she quoted one customer being quoted £3k). Despite the reason for wanting to move not being our fault. As a slight compromise we were moved to a room outside of the main hotel block. This was our only one week holiday this year and we feel the holiday was completely ruined and that we had no choice but to stay at the hotel and put up with the noise, which was very loud and constant. The rep admitted the level of work and amount/level of noise had increased in recent weeks. Due to the above I strongly feel we should be compensated for the significant inconvenience and distress we incurred during our holiday.

    Friendly helpful staff. Very clean& tidy. Roof top bar was lovely. Nice pool. Great choice of food/drink for breakfast & dinner.
