    Great hotel in a nice location. Room for improvement: price of drinks in the hotel bar, same drinks available in tavernas just outside the hotel for a fraction of the price, which lead to a lack of atmosphere in the bar due to the lack of guests.

    We were dropped off by Tui at 2am outside the rear gate, we had no information on how to access the hotel. No adequate signage to find our room, after 10 minutes we had to return to reception and get help from the night porter. On arrival there was no hot water to shower after a day travelling, the room smelt damp with a puddle on the floor where the air conditioning unit had leaked. Not enough storage for clothes with only 6 coat hangers each, no chest of drawers or bedside tables to store nik naks just a log. Food was limited, what food there was, was stone cold. Not just luke warm, stone cold. If the hotel does not sort this there will be another Cape Verde situation where people are getting food poisoning. A 5 star hotel serving the same 6 deserts daily of squares of sponge cake. Never known a hotel like it. Our holiday cost over £4000, this was definately not worth that, the hotel is dated with damp, peeling brick work, broken sunbeds and a smell of body odour on the out side terrace furniture. Some days we were not offered a drink with our evening meal, staff did not seem to know what they were doing in the dining room. Several days our room was not cleaned or towels replaced, again, very poor service for a 5 star hotel. We had the same bottom sheet bedding for the duration of our trip.
