The hotel was in an unpleasant location surrounded by building works, rotting garbage and constant traffic. The rooftop pool was overlooked on all sides by builders and 3 cranes. There was constant noise. I was put in the worst room in the hotel with no natural daylight, no balcony to enjoy any sunshine or a place to relax, opposite two lifts that provided constant noise, above the breakfast room that was noisy from early until mid morning.

Staff were late, pool was dirty, breakfast was cold, room was damp, staff ignored request to open window twice, a lot of dust.

So clean, food was fantastic and the staff were so kind and helpful.

Good central location. Friendly staff. Large rooms with two large beds. Good breakfast. Pool area small but this is a boutique hotel and we weren’t here for a pool holiday. Currently building work going on next to hotel, but couldn’t hear much noise due to good sound insulation in rooms.

The george boutique hotel,We stayed in room 409. The staff were absolutely lovely throughout our stay and really helped make the experience enjoyable. The room itself was clean enough, however there were several maintenance issues that let the hotel down. The shower screen clearly needed resealing as the bathroom flooded during every shower, which became quite hazardous, especially as I currently have a knee injury. The fixtures and fittings throughout the room felt shabby and poorly maintained, with old, worn lamps that provided very little light. In fact, the lighting throughout both the room and the hotel was extremely dim, which unfortunately gave parts of the hotel a rather tired and slightly seedy feel. The pool area looked lovely at first glance, but it could have been cleaner and the decking was in need of attention. Some areas felt loose and unstable, with steps starting to come away from the base, which raised concerns about safety and upkeep. Thankfully, the kindness and friendliness of the staff really did make a difference and contributed greatly to us still having a good stay overall.They didnt have a record of us booking the extended check out time,and I had to re provide them with my email to confirm we had booked and paid for this.
