Perfect location for hotel. Just what we wanted
Show morerossly Substandard Accommodation (Room 138) What TUI described as an \"upgraded\" room was, in reality, a health hazard. The Sewage Crisis: The room was filled with an unbearable stench of raw sewage. Reception staff admitted this was a \"known issue\" in Room 138, yet you moved us into it anyway. Incompetent Management: We were told no other rooms were available and instructed to sleep with the door open to \"circulate the air\"—an absurd and insulting suggestion that resulted in me being bitten by mosquitoes and suffering for the remainder of the trip. Failed Security: On June 10, the lock failed entirely. It took over two hours to resolve, during which we were locked out of our room. We received zero apologies for this significantHygiene and Safety Failures The cleanliness of this hotel was appalling and potentially dangerous: Sanitation: The ceiling was coated in dust, and when \"cleaned,\" the debris was simply swept onto our bedding. The balcony, shutters, and shower were filthy and remained untouched for the duration of our stay. Chemical Exposure: We witnessed staff cleaning pool tiles with chemical agents while guests were still in the water—a blatant violation of safety protocols. Uncontrolled Animals: The pool area was overrun by staff-owned dogs that were anxious, barking at children, and jumping on guests’ loungers. This is not only unhygienic but a clear liability. Inedible Food and Service The \"dining\" experience was a disgrace. Hot food was cold, bacon was inedible, and the fruit was sour. The machines produced hot drinks that tasted of scale, indicating a total lack of maintenance. The fact that a microwave is provided so guests can heat up \"fresh\" buffet food points to a systematic failure in food safety and quality control.

Show moreI recently stayed at Hotel Tagomago in Ibiza through TUI, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. In my opinion, this hotel is nowhere near a 3-star standard , at best, it feels like a basic 2-star hotel charging prices closer to a 4-star simply because of its location. From the moment we checked in, the room had a terrible damp and mouldy smell, like it had not been aired out for a very long time. At reception, we were told to let the hot water run because “it takes time to come through,” but they forgot to mention that this meant waiting around 15 minutes, and even then the water was only lukewarm, not properly hot. The shower drain was another nightmare. Every simple shower turned into a stressful experience because the drain kept blocking and the bathroom was close to flooding. I had to place towels on the floor to stop water spreading into the room. I reported the issue to reception the next morning and was told someone would look at it, but nothing changed. Eventually, after losing patience, I made a complaint through the TUI website. TUI customer service responded quickly and contacted the hotel about the issues. The hotel then claimed they were unaware of the problems and said the boiler was set to a specific temperature which they had checked with a thermometer and considered “acceptable.” According to them, there was no issue at all. Interestingly enough, after this complaint, the water suddenly became properly hot and the shower drainage also started working correctly. Another unpleasant experience was the attitude of one hotel employee during breakfast. After finishing breakfast, we took our coffee and two croissants to sit outside facing the sea. Yes, technically it was outside the designated breakfast area, but there were no signs saying this was not allowed. Instead of politely explaining the rules, the employee spoke to us in an extremely rude and aggressive manner over something as minor as coffee and pastries. To be fair, most of the hotel staff were friendly and pleasant. However, the overall conditions of the hotel were very poor. The general excuse seemed to be that the hotel had only just opened for the season and they had not had time to get everything ready. But when you know you are opening a hotel, preparations should begin weeks in advance ; and I say this as someone with significant hospitality experience. The hotel itself is extremely outdated. The furniture is old, the rooms are very basic, and facilities are minimal … a bed, a TV (when it works, because ours also had issues), and little else. There wasn’t even a glass in the room or a bin bag in the bin. Breakfast was buffet style and exactly the same every morning. It was acceptable, but again there were problems. One morning the toaster machine was not working, and on the same morning they ran out of espresso coffee completely. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The location is beautiful, but the hotel itself does not match what is being advertised online. I would also strongly advise TUI to personally inspect hotels before advertising them on their website, because what is shown online and what guests actually receive are two very different things.
