The staff at this hotel are excellent. The food was also excellent. Its location on the beach made for a lovely setting. The only negative was our sea view room not being ready when we arrived and having to stay in another room for the first night which meant we couldn’t unpack and relax straight away. The hotel did offer a complimentary massage and lunch for this which were well received however we saw / heard of this happening to numerous other guests including some who had to stay at the sister hotel for a night. This seemed to be a common practice at the hotel (for rooms not to be ready) and it did impact the start of our holiday. Other than that I can’t fault this hotel.

We booked a sea view room, which wasn’t available for the first 2 nights due to a technical issue!! We complained and TUI sorted this and we got our correct room on the 3 day. I would say that the food at the hotel was not of a 4star quality or choice.

We were not given the sea view room we had booked, on arrival we were told 'There was a problem' with our room so we had to spend two nights in a ground floor pool view room. As compensation we were given a voucher for two free lunches with drinks. We were then moved to a sea view room after two nights, speaking to other guests it became clear that this was a common practice at the hotel, some other couples had even been sent to a sister hotel 15 km away for one night before being brought back. It is clear that this is an ongoing policy with Giannoulis hotels, it seems to affect all the guests from every nation and travel company. As it stands we would not book another holiday with this hotel chain as there is not a guarantee you will get what you booked and paid for. This is something you need to investigate urgently as if it is this bad early in the season what will it be like in mid summer? This is a sad situation as the staff at the hotel are excellent, but are being badly let down by higher management.

We had half board. We would go to that hotel again, but would do bed and breakfast instead, as the food became quite monotonous.
