We visited this hotel 4 years ago and loved it, so we had high expectations. It is starting to look a bit tatty in places, particularly in the bedroom and dining room. The addition of the new waterpark was fantastic and also the new restaurants. We weren’t welcomed with the friendliness we had received previously and in general the staff didn’t seem happy or particularly friendly towards us. We were told there were sandwiches in our room as we arrived late at night but there wasn’t any. The service at breakfast was hit and miss. Some days we were shown to a table, other days we were left to find our own. Some days we were offered coffee and water at breakfast and some days we weren’t. The bedding in our room looked tatty with holes in the duvet cover and some days the towels weren’t replaced and we were missing a bath mat on a couple of days. Our daughter slept in the single chair bed which had a separate mattress section at the bottom and it kept moving and leaving a big gap in her bed. The patio was also dirty and we had ants and a dead locust on it most of the week. We were given bottled water and soft drinks every day to refill our fridge which was great. We enjoyed the Mexican meal apart from the wind which blew my red wine over and none of the staff seemed bothered about cleaning it up for us or the fact we weren’t able to sit at our table until the chair and floor had been cleaned which took ages for them to be bothered about. They also didn’t clear our plates very quickly after each course and never came to let us know what desserts there were and that we could have one. The Indian restaurant was also good. The Italian wasn’t as good. They had something burning to keep the wasps away and it was blowing right in my face making me cough and eyes water. We all smelled of smoke afterwards and the food wasn’t as good as the other restaurants. We didn’t get the chance to go to the A La Carte restaurant which was disappointing. We also didn’t know what was on the menus at any of the restaurants before we got there which made it difficult to know which ones to book and if there was anything that our daughter would like. The entertainment didn’t seem as good as last time. We didn’t really see any of the animation team and they didn’t seem to be as friendly as before. We watched two of the shows, The Lion King and Around The World, the team worked really hard but we didn’t think the shows were great. They were just dancing along to backing tracks with barely any live singing. Some of the team didn’t look like they could dance very well. The main guy who was also there 4 years ago is fantastic. More people like him are needed to inject some fun, life and personality into everything. On our last day I asked if we’d be able to get food before we left as our flight was late and we had to check out at 12pm. We were told we could get food anytime so we waited until an hour before we were due to leave to get something to eat and then we were told that all the restaurants close for that hour and we wouldn’t be able to get anything, we couldn’t even get a sandwich or a roll or a piece of fruit. I was very disappointed with this. Particularly as we’d been told we could get food at anytime and it said on the website that one of the restaurants was open when actually it was closed. An upsetting and stressful end to our stay.

We had an amazing time, the Tui organised boat trip was an absolute dream. The rep on site was super helpful and the Princess Adriana is a really beautiful hotel. The Pink Positive entertainment crew were incredible with the kids and we would absolutely recommend it to anyone who would listen! We will 100% be back

    The food wasn’t the best, definitely wouldn’t say it’s a 5star hotel
