The hotel was tired and in need of refurbishment. There were tiles coming away from the wall in the main bar, there were broken floor tiles in several areas, the decor was dated. The room was nice enough and the bed was comfortable. The shower cubicle was small and had seen better days. The balcony had amazing views. The main issue for me was the food - there was enough choice but none of it was hot. They used lamps and Bain Marie’s but maybe they need new equipment as it did not keep the food hot. Having previously had food poisoning from lukewarm rice, I wouldn’t touch any of the rice dishes and was very disappointed to sit down to eat food that wasn’t piping hot. It spoilt the whole dining experience. There was limited choice at breakfast - some days there were no fried eggs, the cereal choice was limited, and some days it seemed like they couldn’t be bothered to put the full choice out. One evening, there were no signs to say what the various dishes were and someone had to ask, to be told “it is meat”. I accept that it was the end of the season, but it felt like they were ready to pack up and go home and didn’t want to put the effort in. The yoga that was advertised stopped on 8th October as the instructor was moving to another hotel so we couldn’t do that any more, which was really disappointing. The cinema night didn’t happen one evening, with no explanation or alternative entertainment offered. We couldn’t get coffee with or after dinner unless we went into the bar, they had red or white wine but no rose on the all inclusive offer. Other than the a la carte evening, it was all self service for drinks and food. Overall, it wasn’t up to the standard we were used to.

Week presented great staff and suitable choice of food

Could have been better if there had been attention to detail.

Staff were fab, great views, nice room but food wasn't great. Breakfast, no muesli (choco ********** in an adults only?)no marmalade, one toaster for SO many people. The rooftop a la carte restaurant was a disgrace. The food was tasteless, the desert was a square of stale chocolate sponge with something squirted on top. The evening meals in the main restaurant were far superior. Big thumbs up for the lovely ice cream though! No, would book with Tui again, but wouldn't go back to that hotel.

The simple fact that everything is planned for you,we will definately use TUI again.
