“Heerlijke vakantie!”

Bij mr. and mrs. White Corfu was het goed toeven. Ontbijt was prima, de accommodatie was ook uitstekend. Leuk verblijf, zou het zeker aanraden.

Overall quite positive, and we enjoyed the holiday, but I would make the following comments, for the holiday to be considered 4+ stars, in my opinion. Our room was upgraded which was nice, with plenty of storage, cleanly and plainly decorated. The rooms were located a little way away from the pool, which I would think would be good at the height of the season. The soundproofing wasn't the best though, and noise carried from the rooms above especially. Having free AirCon was great, and a fridge in the room was also a welcome feature. WiFi coverage was excellent even in the garden and the staff were welcoming and quietly efficient. The room was spacious and quite well appointed with a shared plunge type pool on the terrace, which had a lovely view, facing North. However, the pool was very cold, so I wasn't able to use it, unfortunately. The shower was lovely, but the room where the toilet was also located was very small. The mirror over the hand basin on the vanity unit was very low and could only be used sensibly by bending down - tricky when drying hair. . Fortunately I'd taken my own door hooks, for robes and towels, as there were only 2 small, double, wall hooks in the whole room, and not conveniently placed. I feel that the selection of cereals at breakfast could have been better, but this is a minor detail as the rest of the food on offer was fine, if aimed rather more at other nationalities than the UK. The main pool was very cold, and I only managed to brave it once during the week, despite the weather being good; I feel it should be heated. No attempt was made by the hotel to manage the wasps and mosquitoes, so I would recommend that guests go prepared with plug in appliances for the room and gels or wipes for everywhere else. There were plenty of loungers/sunbeds/chairs/hammocks available, but most were rather tired and needed either a good clean, mending or replacing - I hope that this is being considered over the closed season. Whilst not a big problem in late season, the hotel tolerates guests reserving loungers etc with towels, and only returning later. I object to this anti-social behaviour and feel there should be an enforced policy of not permitting it. I would recommend this hotel as it was adults-only (with some noise from guests at a larger facility the other side of the driveway) and sufficiently quiet for us to be able to relax. The location is wonderful for access to a great choice of restaurants on the main street, where there is also a great selection of other shops. The walk to the seafront was only an additional few minutes, where there were even more restaurants all of which afforded a wonderful view of the sunsets and over to the coast of Albania. All in all an enjoyable, relaxing, hassle-free holiday. We only wanted to sit and read on this occasion, but guests should be aware that, whilst there are trips which can be organised, they mostly revolve around locations/trips which aren't in the immediate vicinity of Acharavi. Experiences which are more local would include hill walking, electric bike hire, bike hire and car hire to do more self-guided trips out.

Fantastic accommodation

overall it was fine, the hotel sunbeds all need to be up dated, they were not enough to go round all the guests there, they were broken and dirty, when I asked to a sunbed and umbrella I was told there were no more and then they brought out one that needed mending as it was broken, only six umbrellas for the whole of the hotel, not a four star hotel with these standards

Aardig wat geld betaald voor het appartement met het jacuzzi. Deze was of te warm en stond ook een keer uit waardoor die koud was. De manager is erg vriendelijk en probeert te helpen, alleen bij de meeste personeelsleden lijkt het alsof alles te veel moeite kost. Zo waren er geen bedjes maar over in de schaduw. Daar is uit eindelijk een oplossing voor gekomen door mijn partner die voet bij stuk hield. Verder geen lactosevrije opties geregeld zoals aangegeven van te voren. Ook hierbij hielp het personeel niet en kreeg ik op de vraag wat lactosevrij was alleen een 'niks' als antwoord. Uit bij de receptie gevraagd voor de lactosevrij eten bij het ontbijt. Daar hebben we na 10 dagen vakantie niks over gehoord. We hebben wel een andere kamer gekregen, zodat we later konden uitchecken/douchen. We hadden pas einde middag onze vlucht.
