    The night we arrived we were shown to our room which was not the room we had payed for. We were then told in the morning when we went to reception we would be moving to another hotel on the 12th of July as they had double booked us with a family. Room issues Korifi Suites - Ants everywhere, sink, fridge, beds etc. Shower constantly dripping Fridge didn’t work and was absolutely filthy, smelt of old rotten food/milk. Hairdryer didn’t work Was generally not very clean. Only 1 plug in the bedroom for electronics Provided with a saucepan but no hob? We were supposed to be self catering yet had no cooking facilities except from a toaster as the kettle also didn’t work. When you use the tap in the bathroom the water would spray from lots of different directions as it was not screwed on properly, getting you wet. 2 of the main lights in the property didn’t work. Snack bar in the hotel didn’t sell food only drinks when it says they do sell food online. No air conditioning in the bedroom only 1 in the living room that was very temperamental wether it would turn on or not. We then had an email to say we weren’t moving hotels we were just going to be moving rooms the day before we were set to move. Informed us to go to reception at 11:30 the next morning to sort the issues. The next morning we were down at reception at 11:30 and we’re told we are still moving to the other hotel if we would like, to a smaller room until the 14th of July and then we move to a big superior room on the 14th with cooking facilities like we payed for. So for our 7 day holiday we’ve only had 2 days where we have actually been in the right room with cooking facilities that we had actually payed for. At 1pm on the 12th of July we had to move to the other hotel. Amazones village was a lovely hotel, no issues with them. They were trying to help us, but could only move us into the rooms they had available, as the issues we had experienced wasn’t there fault. Which means in total of our 7 day holiday we have had to move 3 times, we have never been able to unpack our suitcases as we were constantly being moved. We also couldn’t book any trips or excursions we wanted to do as they were on days we were moving. This is really unfair on us. Not only that but as we didn’t have the facilities to cook we had to contact our parents for money for food out, as we had only brought enough money to buy food for a certain number of nights/days out. The rest of the time we were going to self cater as it would be cheaper for us. I am absolutely appalled by what we have experienced as this was booked for my boyfriends birthday and was his first time ever abroad. This has ruined our first holiday away together as well as his idea of a holiday.
