    Initially we were given a room that had a tree as its view from the balcony. We asked to change rooms for a pool/sea view. We had to pay an additional $350 for the privilege, for the two week stay. So day 2 we moved to a much bigger and better room on the ground floor overlooking the pool. Then things just went from bad to worse. We travelled in a party of two, meeting our friends upon arrival. Who also had to change their room as it wasn't the superior room that they have paid for. The main issue with this hotel is the food. When on holiday one gets to know others who lounge by the same pool area, this turned into a group of 14 people from all walks of life. Out of those 14 people 13 came down with food related issues and all spent many of hours sitting on the throne. Some even caught the illness more than once. My wife is yet to recover after nearly 3 weeks. It would be my recommendation would be to dismiss the head chef, and replace them with someone who can 1) create a menu that doesn't recreate itself by just adding a name tag calling it something else, add seasoning and change the variety up a little, I.e themed nights etc. 2) someone who can manage a team, as there are very clear hygiene issues within the kitchen. (And before any comments, I am a restaurant owner myself, so have a right to pass judgement). There were positives to take out of this hotel, the views are amazing,the snorkeling is some of the best I've seen and a special mention to the 4 guys in the main bar near reception, Farse Ahmed, Mohmed Aymen, Yousef Rabie and Abdo Alsaid. These guys made our holiday more tolerable and they are a credit to the hotel.
