I don't usually leave negative reviews, but after paying almost £2,400 for two people for a week, I feel it's important to share our experience. Our stay got off to a poor start. We arrived late at night to a slow check-in, were given very little information about the resort, and then had to drag our luggage down a steep hill to our room in the dark. We were told food was available for late arrivals but weren't told where to find it, so after wandering around the large resort for a while, we gave up and went to bed hungry. The room was disappointing for a 4-star hotel. There was no minibar, no welcome snacks or soft drinks, and the air conditioning was extremely weak throughout our stay. We also had an ongoing ant problem, with ants regularly appearing in the bathroom, on towels and even on pillows. Housekeeping was another frustration. They usually arrived between 10am and 11am while we were getting ready. Despite asking several times if they could return later, we were always told \"tomorrow\", meaning our room was only cleaned once during the week. The buffet restaurant was one of the biggest disappointments. Despite being advertised as air conditioned, it was extremely hot and uncomfortable, making meal times something we often dreaded. Cleanliness could also have been better, with sticky tables, missing cutlery and ants occasionally visible. Food labelling was often vague, which could be difficult for anyone with allergies or dietary requirements. Service was mixed. Some staff, particularly the chefs at the pasta station, were friendly and hardworking, but some bar staff came across as uninterested. Long queues at both bars and the buffet were common. Other issues included having to refill a small 500ml water bottle at stations around the resort, a lack of room service, daily exercise classes outside our room early in the morning, and sunbed reserving being unenforced despite hotel rules. We only managed to get poolside sunbeds on two days out of seven. There were some positives. The resort looks impressive at first glance, the beach is lovely, and some staff members were excellent. However, the service, cleanliness, room issues and dining experience fell well below what we expected from a 4-star hotel. Sadly, we wouldn't return and felt disappointed with what was a significant amount of money to spend on a holiday.

The hotel was very clean and pretty, the food was amazing and always had a lot of options and only was different every night. The snacks bars and main restaurant kept on top of making sure that tables were clean and food was replenished often enough. Some of the staff were lovely but we found that some were also very rude, we asked for a late check out but they were unable to give us one and said that we had to shower at the side of the pool in cold showers. They even said this when we explained that we had a baby with us. When checking out we asked if we could have some clean towels to get dry with as all we had were the pool towels that we had been using, they also refused to give us these. We had photos taken by the hotel, they gave us a time to look at them the next morning but unfortunately i was unable and it was the morning of us checking out. I headed to the desk an hour after our allocated time and apologised and explained why we were not there, he became very rude and said we had wasted his time. I explained that I would still like some photos but he refused to see me. Thankfully another colleague came and apologised for the interaction and said that we could go and see him later in the day. On a night the bars were very busy with only 2 members of staff on the main bar, this meant queues for over 10 minutes sometimes and if you wanted a beer and cocktail you had to queue twice as they did not do them in just one order. There were also a couple of drinks and snacks that we were unable to have due to being all inclusive and not ultra all inclusive, which wasn’t an option when booking. When booking the beach says it’s private but it is not and you have to pay to use the sunbeds.

Throughout my stay, I felt that legitimate concerns were repeatedly dismissed rather than addressed professionally and respectfully. Departure Issues As a result of the numerous problems experienced during my stay, I was informed by Anabela Hendges that I would receive a late check-out and assistance with my luggage upon departure. However, on the day of departure, no assistance arrived as arranged. After waiting, I contacted Reception and was told that no porter service would be provided. Eventually, a member of the Guest Relations team agreed to help transport my luggage; however, I was then contacted by Reception and warned that I would be charged €65 if I did not vacate the room immediately, despite waiting for the assistance that had been promised. Furthermore, when my luggage was taken to the luggage room, I was informed that the hotel would not accept responsibility if my suitcases were lost or stolen. This was a surprising statement given that the luggage room was located within the hotel, monitored by cameras, and protected by hotel security. Requested Resolution Given the severity of the issues experienced, particularly the unacceptable room conditions and the fact that I was unable to sleep properly for four nights due to the sewage odour, I believe compensation is fully justified. I therefore request: Compensation for the four nights spent in a room affected by severe sewage odours, which significantly impacted my holiday and wellbeing. Reimbursement of the additional room selection fee paid for the room type advertised but not initially provided. A formal investigation into the conduct and professionalism of the Reception and Guest Relations staff involved. A written response outlining the actions that will be taken to address these concerns and prevent similar experiences for future guests. I have attached supporting photographs relating to the room and booking details. I look forward to receiving your response and a fair resolution to this matter. Yours faithfully, Valentina Silconoka

**Accommodation Experience** Our stay at the Fuerteventura Princess Hotel was fantastic. The hotel was beautiful, well maintained and had everything we needed for a relaxing family holiday. The facilities were excellent, and we particularly appreciated how family-friendly the hotel was. The food was absolutely delicious, with plenty of choice for both adults and children. We found the overall atmosphere welcoming and enjoyable, and as a single mum travelling with my child, I felt safe and comfortable throughout our stay. The accommodation really contributed to making our holiday such a positive experience. We would happily return to the Fuerteventura Princess and would recommend it to other families looking for a safe, enjoyable and family-friendly holiday.
