    Very noisy, on flight path from airport. Also loud music by the pool all day, ok for young party animals not for older people like myself. Room was a bit tatty but ok, not sure the bed had clean sheets on, but they were changed midweek. TV in room had four English channels but they did'nt work very well and dissappeared for two days at the end of our stay.

    Night and morning noise from the aircraft flying overhead meant closing our balcony doors each night, which usually made the room too hot without using AC. The aircraft noise also drowns out the entertainment. The entertainment was very low quality apart from 2 nights. The average busker could have done much better and been more engaging, but 2 evenings were genuinely good. On the whole though artists having no interaction with an audience made many of us less interested. Not enough seating for entertainment either. The queues were often 10-20 minutes for drinks at the free bar. It is a 2 tiered guest system too having a paid bar by the stage, while the queues were so horrendous. The 50 euro Bali beds directly in front of the pool made us feel disconnected to it and also drowned out the sunlight at times of the day. The beach bar is also not owned by the property, so we had little reason to use the beach. Just feels like you have to spend a LOT more to have the kind of holiday that we could enjoy elsewhere on the island for less. The toilet seat didn't stay upright which meant holding it with 1 hand for a number 1. Sometimes it would take 5 minutes to find a prepared table in the restaurant, or we would have to ask for an empty table to be prepared while our food was going cold. The restaurant was understaffed and the staff had low morale. It took us 20+ minutes to check in, which would have been fine, but the staff allowed a group from the back to push in and check in before us even though I made them aware that we were next. Lots of little things really that don't add up to the quality of other hotels we've stayed at, but we still enjoyed ourselves, but it isn't 4 star. The cake selection is 5 star though in the restaurant, but with the low morale of staff and disconnect from the pool and bars and the aircraft noise overhead, it felt closer to 2 stars.
