    Recommended

    Amazing hotel, located in a small village 10 minutes from Chania. The hotel has two pools, 1 quiet, one more lively. They also have sun loungers on the beach, with a minimal walk. At no point did it feel crowded. Our stay was half-board and the food was delicious, there are plenty of other tavernas or restaurants around. The staff was attentive and friendly throughout, with a birthday surprise. Wished we could have stayed longer.

    Wonderful hotel and fabulous staff. Unfortunately the aircon didn’t work and was never fixed despite mentioning it on numerous occasions. The lunch menu was nice but the evening menu was limited and never changed so we ate out a lot.

    Half board options limited and confusing for guests and staff, charging 80% of the menu cost to utilise the main menu was appalling- 20% would be more acceptable. Having contacted the hotel prior to departure advising that Jacqui was coeliac had no effect- in 35 years of being a coeliac it has never been as difficult as at this hotel. The local restaurants and cafe provided gluten free options and menus and food easily, but not at the hotel where every meal (apart from the excellent breakfast) became a negotiation as to what was possible. Feedback was sought by the hotel and given but did not appear to be acted upon or taken seriously- they seemingly just wanted to tick a box that they were great…..

    The whole experience was excellen. The room was clean, and kept that way by the excellent housekeeping. With a turn down service to boot. With coffee machine pods topped up daily we wanted for nothing. One slight issue was on a (very) windy night the large roller blind fitted in the outer wall clanged like mad o against the metal channels due to a missing stop which kept us awake most of the night but I think maintenance were on to it the day we left.
