The room need some updating mainly items in the bathroom, and I think the windows need addressing in the bedroom.They didn't have very good sound proofing could hear all the outside noise

The hotel is located within a short walk from paphos harbor and all the nearby restaurants. Also close to the ruins. We went self catering so this was great for the restaurants. There is a really good supermarket opposite the hotel and this was brill for self catering. We went in July, temps up to 40c so it was good all the walks were short! It was easy to get a lounger by the pool and this made the hottest days easier 😀 The room had a kitchen with full size oven hob and fridge freezer, also goof for self catering. This was a w bed apt and it also had great air conditioning in all rooms. Towels and bedding were changed regularly. When we had an issue, reception. Sorted it quickly, ( like an accident smashing the free wine bottle on day 1, kids... reception even replaced it)

The Basilica Apartments were in a great location. 10 min walk down to the Harbour and also there was a fab supermarket across the street which sold everything from flip flops, cooked chickens, fresh bakery to kitchen and beach accessories so u were nvr short if u forgot anything. The food was of top class especially for AI as I am fussy and I ate loads even 2 helpings at times. The food was fresh and of good choices even though it wasn’t a big area to select from but I think this is what made it better as you could see and taste the quality of the food due to this. Also the large pool was great and very shallow. There was also washing machines a tumble dryers at hand to use during your stay which was great as we went home with three suitcases all washed and dried. The restaurant area was beautiful and at night when u sat out it was like being in a street in Cyprus as you sat under large trees with the tables and chairs outside often being serenaded by different musicians. Also the staff were so helpful and very informative. This was one of the best apartments we have stayed in due to food, location, friendliness and cleanliness.

The food was cooked nicely, a good verity. Though our teens did get board about 6 days in. The staff are all really nice and helpful. Reception helped us with very last minute trips and a hire car. Rooms spacious and clean, though a little tired. Entertainment wasn't daily, but the evenings were quiet.
