    Accommodation was absolutely amazing with no complaints besides than the sister hotels were allowed unlimited access to our pools and buffet and drinks even though we had paid the highest price

    We booked our hotel 1yr previous and paid for a suite int he Adult only section of the hotel complex, we were aware of all the renovations going on but was told we would be offered an upgrade if the Adult only section wasn't finished. when we got to the hotel the staff were very welcoming and we were offered a Swim ujp room for $750 which we said we wasn't prepared to pay as we had already paid for a Suite in the Adult only section so this upgrade should be Free. we were then offered a renovated room on the 3rd floor which we declined. In the end we were upgraded to a swim up room free of charge, but we really didn't need the hassle of arguing after a 10hr flight! The Tui reps Mark or David and the lady sorry I didnt make a note of her name were very helpful. I completed the complaints link for the room refund that I was told would be refunded as we were not placed in the Adults only area but we are still to receive this refund. please can this be looked into.     Service delivered not as per description. Premium service offered to guests from other hotels that did not pay a premium like I did, therefore in paid extra but received the same as others

    Bahia Principe Akumal was a 10/10 resort! The staff always went above and beyond to help you and make our stay memorable. The swim-up suite was gorgeous and was always clean and fully restocked with fresh water and snacks each day. The resort itself is beautiful, with access to the other parts of the resort too, providing plenty of options for food throughout the day.

    I found out there were issues with accommodation prior to going that I let tui know about . Tui did then confirm the hotel was having construction work done. I was never offered to change or an upgrade that people were offered. I know this from speaking to people in resort. We booked luxury AKUMAL yet all other hotels could use our facilities . We would have been cheaper booking fobs and using all facilities at no extra cost. There was nothing to do at night except be in the sports bar. Thank god for the World Cup. No point in having the hacienda area as nothing going on.
