    We’ve stayed at the same hotel for 11 years. This was the worst holiday by far spend here. . The accommodation and offerings from the hotel have sadly declined dramatically. Under staffed in all areas. New booking system for restaurants in the evening reservations by the hotel app only to be told ‘we’re full’ when you got there. So either have to stand and wait or try and get into one of the other hotel restaurants. That happened 3 times in a week, average 30 to 45 mins wait to get a drink at the bar so all inclusive becomes very expensive as you can’t get a drink. We love this hotel and even had our honeymoon here. We are loyal customers to this hotel and we’re really upset this year with the overall experience.

    “Tolle Unterkunft - Strand und Meer zu verdreckt”

    Das Hotel war schön, die Anlage sehr gepflegt und wunderbar begrünt. Das Essen war sehr gut. Das Personal war wirklich toll, zuvorkommend, äußerst freundlich und liebenswürdig mit Kindern. Der größte und einzige Minuspunkt war der Zustand des Strandes und des Meeres: vor allem gegen Nachmittag war immer mehr Plastikmüll im Meer zu finden, das an den Strand getrieben wurde. Am Strand waren viele Plastikteile (Stücke von Flaschen, Plastikfolien, Plastikflaschen, Bechern etc). Ich würde und werde rein aus diesem Grund nicht mehr dorthin fahren, was sehr schade ist, weil ich das Hotel sonst jedenfalls weiterempfehlen würde.

    Excellent suite Amazing view Steps away from the beach Great in house service - free fruit and wine on arrival for example. Daily supply of bottled water Restaurant good brilliant with a choice of different places to eat. Always able to select a great meal Hotel staff absolutely lovely - all of them . Always smiling and greeting . Hotel gardens are beautiful and incredibly well maintained. Mythica had a dedicated person in reception who was really helpful. Beach really well kept Our second trip here and would definitely recommend it. Had a private transfer which was great too. Lastly - the weather was perfect every day. Big shout out to “ Lena” our hotel services lady who did our room daily- a special , kind and very lovely Greek lady .

    The Aquila Rethymna Beach Hotel is a fantastic high quality hotel. The facilities, the pools (including indoor spa), the cleanliness, the gardens are all excellent and maintained to a very high standard. The addition of the new water park is a real bonus although I could imagine it becomes very busy in high season. The staff are very friendly and are a credit to the hotel.
