Lots of stairs, no hot water if everyone else in building showered, food was cold, pool was freezing.

Good accommodation. Great cleaners. Good location However no long hanging space in wardrobe

The hotel was beautiful, and very well maintained by a small army of cleaners and gardeners

We had been allocated Room 4205 when we arrived on the Sunday the 13th of September after a long and tiring day. This room overlooks the main entrance to the Hotel and a delivery area and faces a bank of air con / heat exchanges and the kitchen extraction fan. The view is a \"view of the sea, \" and not a \"sea view\" as you look down onto the reception and kitchen roof tops. Then at about 4am the water boiler for the entire block fires up and then it increased to a noise like a jet engine. This room is directly above this system and fired up every 10 minis or so and ran for 5 + mins, them repeated through out the night. We let this continue until the Tuesday when I advise Demmis , who was at the reception of the problem who said he would get the technical department to look at the problem straight away. I also told Iris our TUI rep about it. Between Demmis and Iris they arranged for a room exchange once we had looked at the offered room ( 5206 ) which we accepted. It would appear that there was a problem with the boiler, but it cant have gone unnoticed as it was making a ********** of a noise. But the hotel did react fairly quickly, it just that we had 3 very bad nights where I suppose we may have managed a few hours of disturbed sleep. Room 4205 also needs to have its laminated flooring replaced along with its defective drinks fridge ( broken temp regulator) and light fitting in the shower room both of which the management got straight onto. As I said the room overlooks the kitchen extraction fan which operated all day and all night, its very industrial and combined with the heat exchanges and limited view of the sea the initial room 4205 was not what we had expected and paid for either directly or by the tourist tax. So TUI , if you get this far, who allocates the rooms ? Is you as you book a block of rooms or the hotel that fits people in depending on the allocation of free rooms. Perhaps you can reply to me on this as there is a disconnect between what we paid for and what we received for the initial 3 nights of lack of sleep in a room that didnt have a sea view. Room 5206 was by far the better accommodation, one which we thought fitted what we had paid for and expected. Hopefully in the next section I can give you the positive side of this hotel. The hotel staff are all fantastic, the gardens are tremendous, the cleaners are great. The food is very good, but the beach is a bit disappointing. But please do something about the music that is played non stop in the pool area and the decking area, its more like you get in a gym. Non stop drum and bass with Ed Sheerin moaning most of the time for 2 weeks was too much for me.
